Triminator Mini Dry Trimmer — Portable Dry Trimming Machine for Small-Scale Growers
Best for: Small-scale and urban growers who need a compact, professional dry trimmer without the industrial footprint or price tag
Our thoughts
This won Best Dry Trimmer at High Times for good reason — it delivers hand-trimmed quality at a fraction of the labour cost, and actually fits on a benchtop. For growers processing small to medium harvests, it's proper kit that doesn't overcomplicate things. One we recommend a lot for anyone tired of manual trimming.
The Triminator Mini Dry is a batch-feed dry trimming machine built for precision and portability. It handles up to 8 pounds of dry material per hour (roughly 40 pounds per day), replacing the work of four manual trimmers whilst keeping resin and potency intact. The proprietary PURE TRIM™ shearing band works without lubricants, maintains a cool cutting action, and produces cuts that match hand-trimmed quality. No assembly required, no heat buildup, and it disassembles tool-free in 15 seconds. This is commercial-grade kit scaled down for growers who value efficiency without the industrial machinery.
How it compares
The Mini Dry sits at the sweet spot between portability and throughput.
-
vs CenturionPro DBT0 — Similar weight (32 lbs vs 28 lbs), but the Triminator handles 8 lbs/hour to the DBT0's 6 lbs/hour. Triminator is more compact and includes a moisture meter.
-
vs Twister BatchOne Pro — Both portable and batch-fed. Twister does 5 lbs/hour; Triminator does 8. Triminator is lighter and easier to disassemble.
-
vs manual trimming — Saves 75% of labour time per harvest whilst delivering better consistency and minimal trichome loss.
-
vs wet trimming — Dry trimming leaves you with better colour, better smell, and a cleaner end product because chlorophyll fades during the dry period.
Usage guidance
Getting the moisture right
The Mini Dry works best when material is between 9-10% moisture content. Over-dry and the material becomes brittle; too wet and it gums up. Triminator includes a moisture meter to dial this in properly.
Loading and running a batch
Fill the drum 1/3 to 1/2 full for best results. Each batch takes 3-6 minutes depending on material density. The rollback ergonomic design means you load from the side, hit the button, and unload without fuss.
The cut quality
The proprietary shearing band is as strong as metal but doesn't generate or store heat. This keeps the product cooler, reduces resin loss, and means the clarity and potency stay where they should be.
Optional extraction mode
Swap the dry tumbler for an extraction tumbler (sold separately) in seconds. Same machine, different function. Handy if you want to run both applications.
Environment matters
Run it in a cool, dry space. Some growers run short bursts with cool-down periods to keep the motor fresh, especially on longer processing days.

Our take
This is a proper dry trimming machine that actually fits on a benchtop and doesn't cost like a full production facility. It's won awards because it delivers — clean cuts, minimal resin loss, and the speed to make trimming painless instead of labour-intensive.
If you're at the point where manual trimming is eating your time or your hands are done with it, this is worth picking up. Does exactly what it should, every batch. Good time to buy while stock lasts.
