Shogun Coco Multipack — Complete Nutrient System for Coco Growers
Best for: Growers moving to coco who want a complete nutrient system without guessing what works together
Our thoughts
This is a properly thought-out coco nutrient kit. Shogun's built in everything you actually need from veg through to the end, and the inclusion of CalMag and Silicon straight away shows they understand coco's quirks. It's premium kit, but formulated specifically for UK water and backed by real research. One we sell a lot of for growers making the jump to coco.
The Shogun Coco Multipack is a complete nutrient system designed specifically for growing in coco coir. It contains seven products: Samurai Coco A&B base nutrients, plus Katana Roots, CalMag, Silicon, PK Warrior 9/18, Sumo Active Boost, and Dragon Force — everything you need from seedling to harvest for 3–4 plants covering roughly 1.2 square metres. The whole kit is formulated for UK water conditions and built around Shogun's proprietary SmartZen and AquaZen technologies, which solve one of coco's most annoying problems: false drain, where water runs straight through the substrate without properly saturating it.
How it compares
This sits in the premium-but-accessible tier of coco nutrient systems.
- More complete than entry-level two-part systems (you get all the boosters included)
- Coco-specific formulation — addresses calcium, magnesium, and silicon leaching that soil growers don't worry about
- Lower dilution rates than many competitors, which pushes the cost per litre down despite higher upfront price
- Designed for UK water chemistry, not a generic formula retrofitted
Think of it as the difference between buying components separately and buying a kit that already knows how to work together.
Usage guidance
Vegetative stage
Start with Samurai Coco A&B mixed at 2–4ml per litre (equal parts), add CalMag, Silicon, and Katana Roots. This covers root development and structural strength early on.
Transition and early bloom
Keep the A&B running, introduce Sumo Active Boost and PK Warrior 9/18. PK Warrior is potent, so don't over-apply. The research is clear: growers report excellent results but note you need to respect the strength of this product.
Late bloom/finish
Shift to Dragon Force in the final weeks. It triggers the plant to mobilise stored reserves for a final growth push.
Water type matters
The kit is formulated for UK water, but if you're on soft water versus hard water, your CalMag dose might need tweaking. Test your tap water EC before you start.
Hand watering or automated
Works in both. If you're hand watering coco, you'll appreciate AquaZen's false drain fix — water actually stays in the substrate instead of running straight through.

Who this is for
- Growers switching from soil to coco who want a system that already understands coco's needs
- Anyone growing in coco without CalMag supplementation (you shouldn't be)
- Growers who want to skip the research phase and just follow a proven feeding schedule
- Experienced cultivators looking for a coco-specific nutrient line with proprietary additives
- Both hand watering and drip system users — works in hand-fed pots and run-to-waste setups equally well
Our take
Coco is easily the most popular growing medium in the indoor space right now, and for good reason — roots stay oxygenated, yields accelerate, and you get total nutrient control. But coco has its quirks. This kit addresses them properly. You're paying for research here, not just bottles of nutrients. The false drain solution alone is worth it if you've ever watched water run straight through coco without actually feeding your plants.
Good time to buy while stock lasts. Does exactly what it should, and grower feedback backs that up consistently.
