Plagron Cocos A & B — Two-Part Coco Nutrients That Just Work
Best for: Growers using coco coir who want a simple, reliable two-part nutrient system without the premium price tag
Our thoughts
This is a properly balanced two-part base nutrient built specifically for coco. The improved formula delivers better nutrient uptake from week one, keeps pH more stable than it used to, and costs significantly less than the premium alternatives. One we sell a lot of for growers graduating from one-part into a two-part system.
Plagron Cocos A & B is a two-part liquid base nutrient engineered specifically for coconut coir growing systems. You mix equal parts A and B, feed once per watering, and the system handles both growth and flowering phases without switching bottles. The recent formula upgrade includes chelated micronutrients that absorb faster across a wider pH range, which means better plant development and fewer deficiencies.
How it compares
This sits in the smart-value tier of two-part coco nutrients, positioned between budget one-parts and premium systems.
- Significantly cheaper than Advanced Nutrients or CANNA equivalents, with comparable real-world results
- Simpler than three-part systems — you're not guessing what to add when
- Uses the same formula for both growth and bloom, reducing the mental load
- Better pH stability than many competitors, which means fewer adjustments and less babysitting
In short: you're getting Dutch nutrient expertise at a price that doesn't hammer your margins.
Usage guidance
Cocos A & B works across all coco-based systems — hand watering, drip, NFT, flood tables, the lot.
Mixing
Add 16 ml of Cocos A per gallon of water. Add the same volume of Cocos B. Mix thoroughly. Adjust pH to between 5.5–6.5 after mixing — the system is forgiving but pH control still matters.
Feeding schedule
Use the mixed solution every time you water, from day one. One litre of each component lasts 2–4 growing cycles depending on your system size.
Storage
Mixed solution keeps 4–10 days depending on tank hygiene. Monitor pH daily — it'll drift slowly upward. Don't mix organic products into your tank; they spoil fast and cause problems.
Why two-part for coco
Coco binds calcium and magnesium differently to soil. Plagron's CaMg technology means you need less additional cal-mag supplementation than you might with other systems. You're feeding the plant, not fighting the substrate.

Our take
This is a properly engineered two-part base nutrient at a price that makes sense. It's been refined by a Dutch nutrient house with decades of growing knowledge, the new formula actually performs better than the old one, and it costs less than the premium alternatives you'll find everywhere else.
If you're running coco and want to move beyond one-part, or if you're already using a premium two-part and fancy cutting costs without cutting corners, worth picking up while stock lasts. Does exactly what it should, cycle after cycle.
