This is the bit that makes the Matrix system actually work. On its own it's a small, simple part, but paired with a Matrix Pad and Disc it stops feed pooling in one spot and drying out everywhere else. Buy it as part of the full Matrix setup rather than in isolation, that's where the value is.
The FloraFlex Matrix Circulator sits at the centre of FloraFlex's Matrix top-feed system, spreading water and nutrient solution evenly across the Matrix Disc and down into the Matrix Pad below. It push-fits directly onto standard 1/4" irrigation tubing, so it drops straight into an existing drip line without extra fittings.
The job it's doing is simple but important: instead of one dripper soaking a single spot on the pot surface, the circulator distributes the feed across the whole disc, which is what stops channeling and dry pockets from forming as a crop matures.
How it compares
Even top-feed distribution is the whole point of the Matrix system, and there are a few ways growers achieve the same goal.
- Vs a single-point drip stake: a drip stake feeds one spot on the pot, the Matrix Circulator spreads feed across the full surface via the Disc and Pad
- Vs Autopot-style passive top-feed trays: Autopot relies on gravity and wicking through a tray, the Matrix system actively circulates feed through a disc and capillary pad instead
- Vs running multiple drip stakes per pot: more stakes means more points to clog and maintain, one circulator does the same job with fewer moving parts
It only really makes sense as part of the full Matrix setup, buying a circulator without the matching Pad and Disc won't achieve much on its own.

Installation is quick once you understand how the parts stack together.
Installing
Push-fit the circulator onto your 1/4" feed line, then seat it centrally on top of the Matrix Disc, with the Matrix Pad underneath the disc against the growing medium.
Pairing with the system
Always run the Circulator with a matching Matrix Pad and Disc, sized to your pot, buying the parts separately without matching sizes won't distribute feed properly.
Cleaning and reuse
Rinse the circulator between crops to clear any mineral buildup, it's a durable, reusable part unlike the Pad, which is typically replaced each cycle.
