Spare FlexiTank Tap - Genuine AutoPot Replacement Part
Best for: AutoPot growers who need to replace a lost, cracked, or worn tap on a FlexiTank or FlexiTank Pro reservoir without buying a whole new tank.
Our thoughts
It's a 5 quid part for a tank that costs a lot more, so there's no excuse to keep nursing a leaky tap along. We keep these in stock because taps are the first thing to crack on a FlexiTank, usually right when you're mid-fill. Grab a spare before yours goes, not after.
This is the genuine AutoPot replacement tap fitted to the FlexiTank and FlexiTank Pro reservoirs. It's moulded from high-grade plastic and fits straight through the existing hole in the tank wall, sealed on both sides with a rubber washer and secured with a plastic retaining nut, so no tools or cutting are needed.
The outlet side is threaded to take a 26.5mm click connector, which is how it links into AutoPot's 16mm pipework or standard 12mm irrigation piping. If your current tap has split, seized, or is dripping from the seal, this drops straight in as a like-for-like swap.
How it compares
There isn't really a market of "tap brands" here - this is the specific AutoPot part, not a generic aftermarket substitute.
- Genuine AutoPot fit means the threads and washer seats match the FlexiTank and FlexiTank Pro exactly - generic garden tap fittings from a hardware shop won't seal the same way
- Cheaper than a replacement Click Fit Tank Adaptor and Filter assembly if all you need is the tap itself
- Far cheaper than replacing the whole FlexiTank over one broken fitting
A small, cheap fix for a common failure point - no reason to let a £5 part force you into buying a new tank.
Usage guidance
Fitting
Remove the old tap and washers from the tank wall. Push the new tap through the hole from the outside, fit a rubber washer on each side of the tank wall, and hand-tighten the plastic nut from the inside until snug - don't overtighten plastic threads.
Connecting pipework
The threaded outlet takes a 26.5mm click connector. Fit a Click Fit Tank Adaptor and Filter to the outlet, then connect your 16mm AutoPot pipe or 12mm irrigation pipe from there.
Leak check
Once fitted, fill the tank partway and check both washer faces for drips before topping up fully and connecting to your system.

Best suited to a straight like-for-like swap, not a workaround for a different tank type.
Our take
It's a small, unglamorous part, but it's the one that actually keeps your reservoir watertight. Given how cheap it is next to the cost of a new tank - or the mess of a leak under your grow space - it's worth having spare.
Does exactly what it should, day in, day out. One to keep in the spares box if you're running AutoPot FlexiTanks.
