Grassroots Living Soil Beds work across different growing approaches:
No-till organic growing
The primary use case. Fill with your living soil blend, top-dress, plant directly in. The larger volume keeps moisture and nutrient availability stable across growing cycles. The 4" aeration strip at the base promotes air pruning and root development. Less watering than pots, more consistent conditions for your microbial ecosystem.
Indoor living soil setup
MoistureLock™ reduces water evaporation significantly, which means lower indoor humidity and less labour. The breathable fabric sidewalls still allow some air exchange, but the waterproof liner prevents excessive drying — you get the best of both.
Vertical trellis support
With trellis fittings included, you can build vertical support frames up to 60cm (standard) or 120cm (tall trellis) above the bed. All fittings and PVC pipe are pre-marked — no tape measure needed. This maximises your growing footprint without needing horizontal space for side-by-side setups.
