The FloraFlex Flora Hole Puncher is a hand tool built for adding 1/4" dripline take-off points into 16/17mm and 1/2" irrigation tubing. Usage guidance
Straightforward to use once you've got the technique, which takes about one go to learn.
Punching a take-off point
Position the puncher over the spot on the main line where you want a take-off, squeeze firmly in one motion, and pull straight back out. Don't twist while punching, it can distort the hole.
Fitting a barb or dripper
Push the fitting or dripper stake straight into the fresh hole immediately, the pipe is easiest to seat while the punched hole hasn't had time to relax back.
Spacing take-offs
Leave at least a couple of centimetres between punched holes along the same run so you're not weakening the pipe wall in one section.
