Canna Terra Professional is a nitrogen-rich potting mix blended from upgraded black peat, granulated peat moss and perlite. Plants generally grow best in a nitrogen-rich medium, and CANNA has built this mix specifically around that, rather than adapting a generic garden compost for indoor growing. It's homogeneous in structure, natural, and free of harmful viruses and soil diseases.
The blend gives a complex water/air system that suits most forms of cultivation, indoors or outdoors, in pots or open ground. It's designed to encourage strong root development and thicker stems, with a faster plant metabolism supporting higher yields.

Usage guidance
Getting the pot size and watering right matters more than the mix itself once it's in place.
Filling pots
Loosen the mix and fill pots, compressing it slightly, then water until a little begins to drain through before placing the plant in.
Pot size
Use 5 litre pots or larger for bigger plants - the larger the pot, the more constant the root environment stays.
Watering
Adult plants typically evaporate 4-6 litres of moisture a day per square metre, so adjust watering volume to plant size, growing conditions and growth stage.
Drainage
If running run-to-waste, place a thin layer of hydro-granules in the bottom of the pot for extra air and drainage.
Storage
Keep the bag in a cool, dry place and don't expose it to temperatures below 4°C before use.
