Canna Aqua Vega A & B — Two-Part Hydroponic Nutrients for Recirculating Systems
Best for: Intermediate growers running NFT, flood & drain, or drip systems who want complete nutrient control without pH headaches
Our thoughts
Canna Aqua Vega is industry standard for a reason. The pH stability alone sets it apart — set it once and it stays put. This is a proper two-part formula that does exactly what it should through veg, no guessing, no daily tweaking. One growers stick with because it works.
Canna Aqua Vega A & B is a two-part base nutrient built specifically for hydroponic recirculating systems during the vegetative growth stage. The two-component formula separates minerals that would otherwise bind together in solution, giving your plants access to a complete micronutrient profile — nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, iron chelates, silicon, and humic acids — all balanced for rapid, vigorous growth. Mix part A, then part B, and the pH buffers do the work for you.
How it compares
Canna Aqua sits in the mid-to-premium two-part segment, positioned between one-part beginner systems and complex three-part formulas.
- Superior micronutrient availability compared to one-part solutions — the separation prevents binding and lockout
- Less complex than three-part systems (General Hydroponics Flora, Advanced Nutrients) — fewer variables, lower room for error
- Genuine pH stability; competitors with auto-balancing cost significantly more
- Purpose-built for recirculating systems; general-purpose nutrients don't account for the specific demands of NFT and ebb & flow
You're paying for proven performance and design specificity, not brand fluff.
Usage guidance
Canna Aqua Vega is straightforward to use if you follow the mixing order.
Mixing (critical — never skip this)
Always add part A first, stir thoroughly, then add part B and stir again. Never mix the bottles together before adding to water. Dosage is 2–3ml per litre of water. For a 10-litre reservoir, that's 20–30ml each of A and B.
Water preparation
Fill your reservoir with clean tap water. This product is formulated for moderate-to-hard water areas (standard UK tapwater works perfectly). If you're in a soft water area, you may need to add calcium supplementation — growers report occasional issues here.
pH and EC
Target EC of 0.9–1.4 mS/cm. Set initial pH between 5.2–6.2 and leave it. The pH buffers in this formula mean you won't need to adjust again during the feeding cycle. That's the real win here.
Feeding schedule
Use for full vegetative growth through to the first 1–3 weeks of the flowering phase. Once flowers form properly, switch to Canna Aqua Flores. Change your reservoir every 7 days roughly for best nutrient uptake.
System compatibility
Works cleanly in NFT, drip systems, deep water culture, ebb & flow, and aeroponics. The formula is designed around inert media — rockwool, expanded clay, perlite — not soil.

Who this is for
- Intermediate hydroponic growers confident with two-part nutrient systems
- Anyone running NFT, ebb & flow, or recirculating drip setups where consistency matters
- Growers tired of daily pH adjustment and wanting a proper buffer
- Those in moderate-to-hard water areas (most of the UK)
- Commercial herb and vegetable operations using hydroponic systems
- Experienced one-part users looking to step up micronutrient control without going full three-part complexity
Our take
This is what you buy when you've moved past beginner one-part systems and want a nutrient formula that actually does the thinking for you. pH stability that stays put, complete micronutrient coverage, and a track record that speaks for itself — growers report strong node formation, huge root mass, and consistent vigorous growth.
If you're setting up a recirculating hydroponic system and want to skip the endless pH adjustment game, worth picking up. Pairs well with Canna Cannazym or Rhizotonic if you want to push results further.
