BioBizz Alg-A-Mic — Organic Seaweed Extract & Plant Stress Reliever
Best for: Growers dealing with plant stress, nutrient deficiencies, or looking to boost chlorophyll and root health the organic way
Our thoughts
This is proper quality seaweed extract, cold-pressed and organic certified. If your plants are looking peaky or you've had a feeding mishap, Alg-A-Mic does the job of bringing them back without overcomplicating things. One a lot of growers reach for when things go slightly sideways.
BioBizz Alg-A-Mic is a 100% organic seaweed biostimulant made from cold-pressed Ascophyllum nodosum kelp. Unlike chemically processed alternatives, cold-pressing preserves the natural goodness — amino acids, plant hormones, trace elements, and enzymes — without shortcuts or harsh solvents. With an NPK of just 0.2-0.2-0.2, it's impossible to overdose, making it a genuinely safe revitaliser for stressed or struggling plants. Whether you've overfeeded, hit a nutrient deficiency, or just weathered a temperature swing, this brings plants back to health properly.
How it compares
Sits in the premium organic seaweed extract category — a step above budget kelp products.
- Cold-pressed processing preserves more of the plant hormones and natural compounds than chemical extraction methods
- Organic certified (6 certifications worldwide) versus unverified budget alternatives
- Noticeably greener colour when diluted — a sign of purity — compared to brown or murky competitors
- Low NPK means zero risk of nutrient burn, even if you're heavy-handed
- Works across soil, coco, hydro, and all growing systems with equal effectiveness
Usage guidance
Root feed application
Mix 2–5ml per litre of water. Apply regularly from vegetative stage through to one week before harvest. Use the higher end (4–5ml) if plants are showing stress or deficiency symptoms; standard rate (2–3ml) for maintenance feeding alongside your base nutrient.
Foliar spray application
Mix 1–3ml per litre of water. Spray the top and underside of leaves with a fine mist, ideally in lower light (early morning or late evening). Apply 1–3 times per week during vegetative and early flowering stages. Stop foliar application by week two of flowering to avoid residue on developing material.
When to use it
Use as a rescue when plants show signs of stress — yellowing leaves, slow growth after overfeeding, pest or disease pressure, or temperature fluctuations. Also works as a preventative maintenance additive throughout the growing cycle. Many growers add it as standard from week one.
Compatibility
Works with every substrate and every base nutrient regime. It's a supplement, not a replacement for proper feeding — use it alongside your main nutrient line (BioBizz Grow and Bloom pair particularly well).

Our take
BioBizz Alg-A-Mic is proper quality seaweed extract that does exactly what it should. The cold-press method matters — you're getting more of the good stuff (plant hormones, enzymes, amino acids) than you would from chemically processed alternatives. Organic certification is genuine. The light green colour is a dead giveaway of purity.
It's not cheap, but you're paying for processing integrity and results. If your plants are struggling or you want to run a genuinely organic setup, worth picking up while stock lasts. Does the job without faffing about.
