This is a copper-coated square disc that sits in the base of an AutoPot pot, above the drainage holes, forming a barrier that plant roots won't grow through. It's sized at 196mm x 196mm to fit AutoPot's 2.2 gallon (9L) and 3.9 gallon (15L) square pots used in easy2grow kits, 1Pot systems and 2Pot extension trays.
The copper coating is the key detail - rather than just physically blocking roots the way a plain fabric liner would, copper actively discourages root tips from growing into it, so roots stay contained within the pot instead of pushing through into the tray and around the AQUAvalve float.

Usage guidance
Fitting
Lay the disc in the base of the pot, above the drainage holes, before filling with your growing medium. Gold face up is the standard orientation, though it still works gold face down.
Between crops
Replace after each grow - once roots have grown into a disc it's done its job, and reusing it risks carrying disease between crops.
Multi-pot systems
Fit one disc per pot in easy2grow and 2Pot setups, not just at the tray, since each pot has its own drainage into the shared tray.
