Dutch Pro Soil Starter Pack — Award-Winning Nutrients for Complete Soil Growing
Best for: First-time growers and experienced cultivators switching nutrient brands who want a complete, proven soil feeding system in one box
Our thoughts
This is the kind of starter pack that actually delivers on the promise. Four core products, a feeding chart, and nearly 40 years of Dutch growing heritage backing it up. You get what you need without the guesswork or the premium packaging markup. Worth picking up if you're setting up soil growing properly.
The Dutch Pro Soil Starter Pack is a complete nutrient system built specifically for soil growing with hard tap water. It contains everything you need to run a full growing cycle from rooting through to harvest — two-part Grow and Bloom base nutrients, a root stimulant, a soil conditioner, and a flowering booster, all packed in a carry box with a feeding chart. This is award-winning nutrient quality at a 35% saving compared to buying individual bottles.
How it compares
Dutch Pro sits in a sweet spot between beginner-simple and genuinely capable.
- Four-product system vs five-plus products from competing starter kits — less complexity, same results
- Heritage formulation (35+ years Dutch expertise) vs newer US-focused brands
- Hard water specific, soft water specific, and auto-flowering variants all available — most competitors run one-size-fits-all
- Significantly better value than buying premium brands like Emerald Harvest or professional-grade systems
- Simpler than multi-part hydro kits, more controlled than general-purpose amendments
Bottom line: proper soil nutrients without the faffing around.
Usage guidance
Dutch Pro works cleanly across soil growing setups of all sizes. Here's how to use it:
Vegetative phase
Use Dutch Pro Grow A&B as your base, dosed according to the included feeding chart. Add Take Root to encourage thick root development. Add Multi Total to improve soil structure and nutrient uptake. These run through the whole growth stage until you flip to flowering.
Flowering phase
Switch to Bloom A&B as your base nutrient. Keep Multi Total running through. Add Explode (the flowering booster) from week 1 of flowering onwards — this is the product Dutch Pro are genuinely known for.
Mixing and dosing
Use a syringe or beaker for accuracy. Never mix concentrated nutrients together straight from the bottle — add each product to your watering can in order, stirring between additions. Measure your TDS with a PPM meter. Dutch Pro recommends a soil pH of 5.8–6.5. Aim for 10–20% runoff each watering to avoid salt buildup.
Soil handling
Let your soil dry slightly between waterings (not bone-dry). This pack is formulated for hard water (150+ PPM tap water). If you're on soft water, Dutch Pro makes a soft water variant — check before buying.

Our take
Dutch Pro have been making nutrients in Amsterdam for nearly 40 years, and it shows in the formulation. This starter pack cuts through the noise — you get four genuinely capable products instead of eight mediocre ones, a feeding chart so you're not guessing, and a carry box so nothing gets damaged. The Explode booster alone is worth the box price if you're serious about your flowering phase.
For a first grow or a brand switch, this is a solid entry point that doesn't ask you to compromise on quality.
