Aptus Break Out Powder 100g - PK Bloom Enhancer for the Final Flowering Weeks
Best for: growers wanting a concentrated phosphorus and potassium boost for the last three weeks of flowering.
Our thoughts
This is a late-flowering specific tool, not a supplement to leave in all cycle. Used in the final three weeks it gives a proper PK push without you needing to guess a dose, since Aptus have published exact gram rates per 100 litres. Just do not stack it with other bloom boosters at the same time, that is asking for nutrient excess.
Break Out Powder is a concentrated bloom enhancer rich in phosphorus and potassium, with an analysis of NPK 0-35-23 plus added magnesium and sulphur. It also carries extra calcium and magnesium to help firm up flowers during the final stretch of bloom. Phosphorus supports photosynthesis and flower and root development, potassium drives sugar and oil production and carbohydrate transport for cell division, and the added calcium and magnesium help move phosphorus through the plant and support chlorophyll production.
It is designed specifically for the last three weeks of flowering, applied at a base EC of 1.2, rather than as a season-long additive. Aptus recommend against combining it with other bloom stimulators at the same time, since it is already a concentrated PK product on its own.
How it compares
PK boosters are a crowded category, with most major nutrient brands offering their own version.
- Compared with Canna PK 13/14, Break Out Powder is a powder concentrate dosed by weight per 100 litres rather than a liquid dosed by ml per litre.
- Against Advanced Nutrients' Big Bud or similar bloom boosters, Break Out Powder's published NPK analysis (0-35-23) gives growers a clearer, verifiable nutrient profile to work from.
- Compared with Aptus's own K-Boost or P-Boost, which isolate a single element, Break Out Powder combines phosphorus and potassium together in one product for the late bloom push.
It does the same core job as most PK boosters, with the advantage of a clearly published analysis rather than a vague "bloom enhancer" claim.
Usage guidance
Break Out Powder follows a specific, published dosing schedule rather than a single blanket rate.
Week 1 of use
Apply at 100g per 100 litres of water, mixed to a base EC of 1.2.
Weeks 2 and 3
Increase to 200g per 100 litres of water for the remainder of the treatment window.
Timing
Use only during the last three weeks of the flowering phase, not throughout the whole cycle.
Combining with other products
Do not add other bloom stimulators alongside Break Out Powder. If you do not have an EC meter, Aptus suggest roughly 1ml of All-in-One Liquid per litre as a rough base guide before adding the powder.

Our take
Break Out Powder is a focused, well documented tool for exactly one job: pushing phosphorus and potassium hard in the final weeks of flowering. Follow the published rates and timing and it does what it says on the tin.
A useful late-cycle addition at a price that makes sense. Does exactly what it should, day in, day out.
