Phresh Hyper Fan Stealth V2 — Quiet EC Extraction Fan with Industry-Leading Efficiency
Best for: Growers who need serious airflow without waking the neighbourhood, and want to cut energy costs at the same time
Our thoughts
This is a proper bit of kit. EC motor, acoustic shielding, half the power draw of standard fans — and it actually lives up to the hype on noise. If you're growing somewhere where sound matters (loft space, shared walls, basically anywhere with ears nearby), this does the job better than nearly anything else on the market. Not cheap, but the maths work out over time.
The Phresh Hyper Fan Stealth V2 is a digitally controlled EC extraction fan designed for growers who refuse to compromise on airflow, noise, or electricity bills. It combines an advanced electronically commutated motor with acoustic foam casing and silencing technology to deliver the highest cubic metres per watt of any silenced inline fan in the industry. This is an extraction fan built for serious growers who understand that a decent fan pays for itself.
How it compares
The Phresh Hyper Fan Stealth sits in the premium EC segment, competing directly with Systemair Revolution Vector and Rhino Ultra Silent models.
-
Efficiency: Uses roughly 50% less power than traditional AC fans — 13.5 m³/h per watt versus 6.5 for standard competitors
-
Noise performance: 15dB reduction through acoustic shielding and foam casing — perceived as 75% quieter to human ears
-
Static pressure: Generates enough pressure to handle carbon filters without significant airflow loss
-
Control: Fully variable from 0–100%, compatible with EC1, EC5, and Gavita controllers
-
Build quality: ABEC 7 sealed ball bearings and jet-engine-profile blades; two-year warranty, but real-world lifespan much longer
Premium upfront cost, but the energy savings and durability make it a genuine long-term investment rather than a consumable.
Usage guidance
Sizing your setup
Available in 6", 8", 10", and 12" sizes (560–3100 m³/hr respectively). Standard advice: buy bigger than you think you need. Oversizing lets you run the fan slower, which means quieter operation and less wear on the motor.
Exhaust installation
Mount inline in your ducting to pull hot, humid air out of the tent or room. The Stealth V2 handles carbon filters without fading — the EC motor generates enough static pressure that a filter won't choke the airflow like it would with weaker fans.
Intake application
Can also be used for fresh air intake, pulling cool air into the space. Flexible in either direction.
Speed control
Use the included tethered controller, or upgrade to an EC1 or EC5 for more sophisticated management. The variable 0–100% range means you can dial in exactly the airflow you need without constant on-off cycling.

Who this is for
- Growers in noise-sensitive locations (lofts, shared walls, residential areas)
- Experienced growers who understand the long-term cost of electricity and motor durability
- Anyone running carbon filters and wanting to maintain full airflow performance
- Setups where expandability matters — buy one good fan and keep it when you scale up
- Growers integrating with existing Gavita, EC1, or EC5 controller ecosystems
Less essential for outdoor or commercial spaces where noise and energy efficiency are secondary concerns. But if you're indoors and serious about the work, this pays its way.
Our take
The Phresh Hyper Fan Stealth V2 is the real deal. It's expensive, but it's also the most efficient silenced extraction fan on the market and it actually performs as advertised. The noise reduction is genuine, the EC motor uses half the power of AC competitors, and the build quality means you'll still be running it in five years.
Good time to buy while stock lasts. If extraction noise is your problem, this solves it properly.
