Budget Grow Tent Kit with 600W Grow Light and Full Extraction - Everything to Start Growing Indoors
Best for: First-time growers who want a complete tent, light and extraction setup in one purchase, without sourcing components separately.
Our thoughts
This is the setup we point most first-time growers towards. You get a tent, a proper 600W light and full extraction in one box, built from brands that have been doing this a long time, at a price that doesn't require a second mortgage. No piecing bits together, no guessing whether your fan matches your filter.
This kit bundles a BAY6 grow tent with an Omega 600W HPS lighting system (ballast, reflector and bulb) and a Mammoth carbon filter, extraction fan and ducting for odour control and airflow. It's built to take a plant from vegetative growth through to harvest under one lamp, in a light-proofed, reflective tent designed for indoor growing.
The 600W HPS output is a well-established middle ground for indoor growing - enough intensity to support solid yields in a standard-sized tent without the heat and running cost of the biggest bulbs on the market.
How it compares
Buying tent, light and extraction as a bundle is usually cheaper and simpler than sourcing each part separately.
- Building the same setup from separate tent brands like Secret Jardin or HOMEbox, HPS lighting from Lumii or SunSystem, and filtration from Rhino or Phresh typically costs more once you add it all up
- Premium branded tents and lighting offer marginally better build quality and finish, but the functional difference for a first grow is small
- This kit trades some of that premium branding for a lower all-in price on components that do the same core job
You're getting a genuinely complete setup, just without the premium name on every component.
Usage guidance
Getting the basics right on day one saves a lot of trouble later.
Setting up the tent
Build the frame on level ground, fit the cover with the zips accessible, and check all seams are light-proofed before you introduce plants.
Hanging the light
Keep an HPS bulb roughly 30-40cm above the canopy to avoid heat stress, and raise it as plants grow. Use the tent's adjustable hangers to fine-tune the distance.
Extraction setup
Mount the carbon filter and fan inside the tent near the top, and route ducting out through a vent to manage heat and odour. Run extraction on a timer or thermostat alongside your light cycle.
Light cycle
Run 18 hours on, 6 hours off during vegetative growth, then switch to 12 hours on, 12 hours off to trigger and sustain flowering.

Our take
This kit covers the three things every indoor grow needs - light, containment and airflow - without asking you to research and match components from three different brands.
One we sell a lot of for new growers.
