Adjustable Reflector 4m IEC Lead E40 - Flexible-Angle HPS/MH Reflector
Best for: Growers running an HPS or Metal Halide lamp who want to adjust light spread between a tight, intense throw and a wider, even canopy coverage.
Our thoughts
A fixed reflector gives you one light pattern and that's it. This one lets you widen the wings for a big vegging canopy or pull them in tighter for more intensity later in flower, which is genuinely useful rather than just a nice-to-have. It's a straightforward, no-frills way to get more control out of an HPS or MH setup without stepping up to a premium adjustable reflector.
The Omega Adjustable Reflector is an aluminium reflector designed for HPS or Metal Halide lamps, built with hinged wing sections so you can flex the shape from a narrow, focused profile to a wider spread. It comes fitted with an E40 (mogul/Goliath) lamp holder and a 4-metre lead terminating in an IEC connector, ready to wire straight into a standard HID ballast.
Adjusting the wings changes both the intensity and the footprint of the light: narrowed in, more light is concentrated over a smaller area, which suits sensitive early growth stages or smaller tents; opened out, the light spreads more evenly across a wider canopy, which suits bulkier plants later in the grow. The reflective aluminium surface is designed to bounce light back down onto the canopy rather than losing it out the sides of the hood.
How it compares
Adjustable reflectors sit above basic fixed hoods and below premium wing-style reflectors like Adjust-A-Wing on price.
- Versus a fixed parabolic or euro reflector: the adjustable wings give you control over light spread and intensity through the grow cycle, something a fixed hood simply can't offer.
- Versus Adjust-A-Wing's Avenger or Enforcer models: Adjust-A-Wing reflectors use a similar adjustable-wing concept and are well regarded in the market, but this Omega reflector is priced as a more accessible everyday option rather than a premium specialist unit.
- Versus a cooltube: a cooltube can be air-cooled directly and runs cooler to the touch, but loses the flexibility to reshape the light spread that this open reflector offers.
If you want adjustable light spread without paying premium-reflector prices, this covers the same basic idea at a more accessible cost.
Usage guidance
Getting the wing angle and hanging height right makes the biggest difference to how evenly your canopy is lit.
Wing angle
Open the wings wider for young or vegetative plants to spread light over a larger area evenly; narrow them as plants mature into flower if you want to concentrate more intensity over a tighter footprint.
Hanging height
Start with the lamp further from the canopy and lower it gradually as plants adjust, watching for any signs of leaf bleaching or heat stress on the top growth closest to the bulb.
Wiring
Connect the 4m IEC lead to your ballast's output lead using the IEC plug, fit an E40 HPS or MH lamp into the holder, and hang the reflector level so light falls evenly rather than to one side.
Maintenance
Wipe the reflective surface down periodically. Dust and residue on the aluminium noticeably cuts down how much light actually reaches the plants.

Who this is for
- Growers running a single HPS or MH lamp who want more control over light spread through veg and flower
- Anyone upgrading from a basic fixed hood without wanting to pay premium reflector prices
- Growers with irregularly shaped tents or rooms who need to tailor the light footprint to the space
Best suited to single-lamp HID setups where flexibility matters more than air-cooling the bulb directly.
Our take
This is a sensible middle ground: proper adjustable light control without the price tag of a specialist wing reflector. The E40 fitting and 4m IEC lead mean it's ready to wire into almost any standard HID ballast setup.
Proper kit at a much lower price than usual for adjustable reflectors, and a solid choice for anyone running a single-lamp HPS or MH tent.
